Sales Representative

  • Job Description:
    • This position is an inside sales representative responsible for selling in a business-to-business environment the full line of Ascentec Engineering solutions and services. This individual acts as a consultant to customers offering solutions for the cost-effective, high quality manufacturing of electronic assemblies.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Generates new accounts through business-to-business sales calls and relationship building. Cultivates business rapport, discovers needs and assesses them, relates benefits to product features, handles objections, and manages customer relationship.
    • Grows existing accounts through personal visits and by building and executing strategic account penetration plans by mapping the process for doing business with customers.
    • Coordinates sales representatives for assigned territories
    • Coordinates resources to achieve perfect quality and on time delivery by identifying key internal and external contributors, communicating relevant information, and building collaborative customer focused relationships.
    • Uses consultative problem solving to build customer value. Identifies new solutions, customized products and services and paradigm changes.
    • Assists Marketing Management in conducting and obtaining survey information as requested.
  • Qualifications:
    • Extensive knowledge of the electronic assembly industry
    • 3 + years sales experience required
    • A college degree preferred
    • Strong customer service orientation
    • Consultative selling and closing skills, or the aptitude to learn
    • Spanish or Chinese language shills would be a plus
    • Solid computer skills such as email and Word required
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and persuasion and partnering skills
    • Must have good time and territory management skills
    • Must be able to understand and use financial data to plan and make strategic and operational choices and decisions.
    • Makes self appraisal and continuous learning a priority
    • Good driving record and reliable transportation required
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Sales Support Associate

  • Job Description:
    • This position is an inside sales representative responsible for selling in a business-to-business environment the full line of Ascentec Engineering solutions and services. This individual acts as a consultant to customers offering solutions for the cost-effective, high quality manufacturing of electronic assemblies.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provides excellent phone and email technical support for existing accounts
    • Supports quoting process by collecting customer requirements and analyzing project costs
    • Responds to quality issues reported by customers
    • Coordinates corrective action of quality issues
    • Provides order status updates
    • Communicates scheduling and quality delays to customers
    • Fulfills literature requests for customer, potential customers and outside sales representatives
  • Qualifications:
    • Knowledge and/or work experience in the electronic assembly industry
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Strong communication skills with an ability to multi-task
    • Strong computer skills such as email and Word required and experience with CAD systems preferred
    • 2 years previous customer service or sales (preferred)
    • Outgoing & motivated
    • A bachelors degree would be a plus, but not required

Sales Engineer

  • Job Description:
    • The sales engineer is responsible for conceptual design, cost analysis for quoting, new product investigations, and technical customer support for the full line of Ascentec Engineering solutions and services. This individual acts as a consultant to customers and inside support personnel offering solutions for the cost-effective, high quality manufacturing of electronic assemblies.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Provides phone, email and face to face technical consultation for tooling and process solutions for the electronic assembly industry
    • Generates design concepts for all existing tooling and new tooling options
    • Analyzes designs for actual design and production costs
    • Coordinates with sales / support representatives to generate accurate quotes
    • Translates design attributes into sales benefits for sales team
    • Responds to quality issues reported by customers
    • Coordinates corrective action of quality issues
  • Qualifications:
    • Extensive (5+ years) experience in process / manufacturing engineering specifically in the electronic assembly industry. Wave solder, surface mount and test process experience is a requirement
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Exceptional communication skills with an ability to multi-task
    • Strong computer skills such as email, MS Office and CAD systems (Autocad, etc)
    • 2 years previous customer service or sales (preferred)
    • Outgoing & motivated
    • A bachelors degree would be a plus, but not required
